About Sapphire Lab

Birmingham's Precision
Dental Laboratory

Sapphire Lab is a Birmingham-based NHS and private dental prosthetic laboratory specialising in the full range of removable and fixed prosthetics. From flexible dentures and acrylic partials to chrome cobalt frameworks, custom mouthguards, and vacuum-formed appliances — every case is handled by qualified dental technicians committed to the highest standards of precision and care.

What distinguishes Sapphire Lab is our investment in digital dental technology. Our laboratory is equipped with 3D resin printers, CAD design software, and a UV curing station — enabling greater accuracy, faster turnarounds, and fewer remakes than a traditional workflow alone. We believe this integration of skilled hands and advanced tools represents the future of dental laboratory work.

We work with NHS and private dental practices across Birmingham and the wider West Midlands, and welcome new partnerships from practices of all sizes.

Precision Through Digital Excellence

3D Printing
We use resin-based 3D printing to produce dental models and vacuum-formed bases with millimetre precision. Digital files mean consistent repeatability and faster turnarounds for your practice.
CAD Design
Complex frameworks and appliances are designed digitally before production — reducing errors, improving fit, and streamlining the fabrication process.
UV Curing
Our UV curing station ensures every resin-based appliance achieves full material strength — consistent results, case after case.
Traditional Craftsmanship
Digital tools support our technicians — they do not replace them. Every case is inspected, finished, and quality-assessed by a qualified dental technician before despatch.

Sapphire Lab operates as an NHS and Private prosthetic laboratory specialist. Our blank materials for mouthguards and vacuum-formed appliances are supplied and tested by a UKAS-approved body, enabling us to apply the CE Mark under the Medical Device Directive and PPE Directive 89/686/EEC.
